Fanslym Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Fanslym. This Privacy Policy describes how Fanslym ("we", "our", "the Platform") collects, uses, shares, and protects the personal information of its users ("you", "the User").

Fanslym is a global amateur sports social network that allows organizers, athletes, and fans to connect, manage teams, organize sports events, and participate in a sports-oriented community.

By using Fanslym, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with them, you should not use the Platform.

2. Age restriction

Fanslym is a platform for users 18 years or older. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old at the time of registration.

We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If we detect that an account has been created with false age information, we will delete it along with all associated information.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide directly

  • Registration data: full name, username, email address, password (stored encrypted), date of birth, account type (fan, athlete, or team).
  • Profile information: profile photo, biography, primary sport, general location, public information you choose to add.
  • User-generated content: posts, comments, messages, reactions, event information you create or participate in, sports results, images you upload to the Platform.
  • Communications: messages you send to other users and communications with our support team.

3.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, application version.
  • Usage data: interactions with the Platform (posts viewed, events browsed, time spent), pages visited within the app.
  • Approximate location: derived from IP address for basic features. Precise location (GPS) is only collected with your express permission and is used only for specific features such as finding nearby events.
  • Push notifications: device tokens to send notifications, if you authorize them.

3.3 Third-party information

  • Sign in with Apple: if you use this option, we receive your unique Apple identifier and, the first time you register, your email address and name if you choose to share them. Apple may provide an email with "Hide My Email" if you so choose.

4. How we use the information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • Service provision: create and manage your account, show you relevant content, enable interactions with other users, organize events and teams.
  • Personalization: tailor the experience based on your sports interests, followed sports, teams, and general location.
  • Operational communications: send you notifications about account activity, events, messages, and important Platform updates.
  • Security and fraud prevention: verify identities, prevent unauthorized access, detect suspicious activity, moderate abusive content.
  • Legal compliance: respond to valid legal requests from competent authorities, enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Platform improvement: analyze usage to identify improvements and develop new features.

5. Sharing information

Fanslym does not sell personal information to third parties.

We share information only in the following cases:

5.1 With other users

  • Your profile, posts, comments, event participation, and other information marked as public will be visible to other Platform users according to the privacy settings you establish.
  • Private messages are visible only to conversation participants.

5.2 With service providers

We contract providers to operate the Platform. These providers have limited access to information necessary to provide their services and are contractually bound to protect it:

  • Hosting and infrastructure: Railway, Vercel, Cloudflare.
  • File storage: Cloudflare R2.
  • Transactional email: Resend.
  • Authentication: Apple (for Sign in with Apple).
  • Future payment processing: in the future we may incorporate processors such as Stripe, Bluesnap, or similar. We will update this Policy before implementing them.

5.3 By legal requirement

We may disclose information if required by competent authorities, court order, or when necessary to protect our rights, safety, or those of our users.

5.4 In case of corporate change

If Fanslym is acquired, merged, or transferred, user information could be part of the transferred assets. In such a case, we will notify you through a visible notice on the Platform or by email.

6. Your rights

You have the following rights over your personal information:

  • Access: request a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Rectification: correct incorrect or outdated information.
  • Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data. You can do so from the app settings or by writing to privacy@fanslym.com.
  • Portability: request your data in a structured format.
  • Objection: object to certain uses of your information.
  • Withdrawal of consent: when processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

7. Data retention

We retain your information while your account is active. If you delete your account:

  • Your profile information, posts, and content will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days.
  • Some information may be retained for longer periods if necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Aggregated anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for statistical purposes.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Passwords stored with secure hashing algorithms.
  • Access controls to databases.
  • Periodic security audits.

However, no system is completely secure. We recommend using strong passwords and not sharing your credentials. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@fanslym.com.

9. International transfers

Fanslym operates globally. Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the Platform, you accept these transfers.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

In your interaction with the mobile app or website, we may use technologies such as device identifiers or local storage to maintain your session active and save basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising tracking cookies at this time.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy occasionally. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through a visible notice on the Platform or by email. Continued use of Fanslym after notification constitutes acceptance of the new Policy.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic, without prejudice to the rights that the legislation of your country of residence may confer upon you. Any controversy related to this Policy will be submitted to the competent courts of the Dominican Republic.
